The delivery risk in a mixed order is rarely one product alone. Different production, inspection and packing lead times must converge at the project milestone. The schedule should therefore be built around the last critical item to pass release inspection.
Freeze specifications before promising dates
Roll dimensions, mass, tensile requirements, standards, labels and packing all affect production and inspection. A delivery date given before technical approval remains provisional.
Manage readiness by product line
Track raw material, production, factory testing, third-party inspection, packing and warehouse status separately for every product group. Decide in advance whether a delayed item holds the full container or ships separately.
Control changes after approval
Set a formal change cut-off and use one controlled order revision across sales, production, quality and logistics. Late changes to roll width or packing can alter line allocation, container utilisation and unloading arrangements.
